As always, there has been a steady flow of new products and developments to existing lines coming through over the last few months and we at Fairline have been continually vigilant to ensure that we are bringing you the best and most recent innovations at the most competitive prices.

Active Networking


We have extended our range of low cost Wireless "n" product from Digitus and TP Link, which offer the speed and range of the Draft n spec. but at prices which are affordable for the home user. Alternatively, the LevelOne range of PowerLine Ethernet adaptors offer reliable wired connection over standard mains wiring and comparable transmission speeds as well as simple Plug and Play installation. The trend towards managed structured network switches, which can handle both data and voice traffic continues and we have see growth in the implementation P.O.E.(Power over Ethernet), which allows active poducts, such as IP Cameras to be placed in area that do not have a readily available mains supply.

Passive Networking

The price of copper and oil continues to cause large fluctuations in the price of cables, however, where cable performance is not adversely effected and /or specification tolerances allow we have selective ly introduced CCA (Copper Covered Aluminium) and CCS (Copper Covered Steel) ranges to give our customers the choice of a comparable product at a highly competitive price. At the other end of the scale, we have also introduced a range of high quality Cat.6 UTP Cables in LS0H / LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials to cater for the professional and public market.
Sales of DataRacks Network and File Server Cabinets continue to grow as a result of the extension of our Build to Spec. service, which offers "Tailor Made" flexibility at "Off the Peg" prices.

PC Components

Activity in the area currently centres around products for upgrade and replacement or for integrating computer and home entertainment systems. In view of this Fairline have introduced a range of large panel monitors and mounting products as well as expanding the MultiMedia products portfolio.
The market for Memory based products, such as Flash Drives and MP3/4 players, remains strong.

Computer Cables

The PC Cabling focus is also on MultiMedia and AV products. Our extended range of full spec. DVI , HDMI and SVGA cables is now complemented with both budget and Hi-Spec. Audio and TV cables, including Scart, RCA / Phono and Stereo Jack connectivity. The high spec. products are an enthusiasts dream, incorporating all of the features required for the highest quality video and audio.

Accessories and Peripherals

Digitus launched an entirely new and restyled range of computer accessories and peripherals this year and the new look is proving very popular. New products in the range include Cameras, Headsets and mics (including Bluetooth versions), Mice, MultiMedia Panels, External Housings, Express Card Adaptors, Monitor Mounts, Wireless LAN and a natty little NAS server, which converts and USB Drive or Memory Product into a Network Attached Storage Device.
